Typen

Our standard cells are available with path lengths of 1 – 200 mm and volumes of 0.01 – 175 ml. For most applications, the standard path length tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm is sufficient. However, higher tolerances can be provided on request.

Material

Depending on detailed requirements, typically different materials are applied:

Optical glass

  • Mainly visible spectral range > 300 nm
  • Low refraction index
  • Cost effective solution

Quartz

  • High transmission at wavelengths < 200 nm and > 3000 nm
  • High stability and low thermal expansion, even at temperatures > 500 °C
Transmission

Guaranteed transmission for empty cells:

  • Optical glass: 82 % at 350 nm
  • UV-Quartz: 80 % at 220 nm
  • ES Quartz: 80 % at 200 nm (typical range 200 – 2500 nm)
  • IR Quartz: 88 % at 2730 nm (typical range up to 4000 nm)
Fügetechnologien

The manufacturing technology depends on requirements:

  • Glueing
  • Powder fusing
  • Fire fusing

Glueing and powder fusing are cost-effective production techniques for “normal” use with neutral liquids at moderate temperatures. Fire fused cells ensure high dimensional stability, even with aggresive chemicals at high temperatures > 500 °C.
